As anticipated, several heavy hitters are commanding impressive premiums. With the English counterpart, Destined Rivals, slated for release on May 30, we're taking a closer look at some of the most expensive cards from Glory of Team Rocket available right now.

Here are the top 10 most expensive cards from Glory of Team Rocket as of release week!

Although it doesn't feature a Pokemon, Gold Secret Rare cards typically make these early lists due to their higher rarity and difficult pull rate. Jamming Tower is a Stadium card that was first released in Twilight Masquerade.

As the Pokemon mascot of Glory of Team Rocket, you can be sure Mewtwo will be making a strong appearance on this list. This Rocket's Mewtwo ex is the Full Art version, though the set offers several other rarities of this Legendary Pokemon.

The 8th most expensive card from Glory of Team Rocket is Team Rocket's Crobat Ultra Rare #131. Crobat was introduced in Gen 2 as the third and final evolution of Zubat. This card features Proton in the background - a Team Rocket Executive introduced in HeartGold & SoulSilver.

The 7th most expensive card from Glory of Team Rocket, and our first Full Art Trainer card, is the Team Rocket's Ariana Special Art Rare #128. Ariana is one of the Team Rocket Executives introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver. The 6th most expensive card from Glory of Team Rocket is Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex Ultra Rare #130. The popularity of Mewtwo as a Legendary Pokemon, paired with the higher rarity of a Gold Secret Rare, makes this card an obvious pick for a top slot.

The Team Rocket's Nidoking ex Special Art Rare #126 is the 5th most expensive card from Glory of Team Rocket, and a fan-favorite for a lot of collectors. In fact, all the SARs from this set have received generally high praise since their reveal. Nidoking has been associated with Giovanni since Gen-1 from the Red and Blue games, and also since the Gym Challenge set where Giovanni's Nidoking was featured as a holo.

As expected, you can't have a Team Rocket set without featuring a Full Art version of the boss himself, Giovanni. This card is almost done in the "Friends in" style, which is honestly way more appealing. It's the highest the boss will rank on this list by himself, but that doesn't mean he is done.

The third most expensive card from Glory of Team Rocket, and an absolutely gorgeous card at that, is the Team Rocket's Crobat Special Art Rare #127. This art style is a bit reminiscent of cards like the Full Art Pikachu from Crown Zenith, which also featured Crobat. This Crobat is illustrated by cochi8i, who has only done a handful of cards since Temporal Forces. This one is sure to stand out.

One card that seems to consistently knock peoples socks off is this Team Rocket Moltres ex SAR #124. It's no surprise, as AKIRA EGAWA has been responsible for some truly outstanding artwork in the past, with notable mentions being the Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, and Arceus gold cards from Crown Zenith. This Moltres artwork is likely to stand out as one of the best Moltres artworks to date.

If you picked up on the theme of this set, you could have seen the #1 card coming from a mile away. Mewtwo. Giovanni. Special Art Rare. This is simple science and we are a simple people.

The Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex SAR #125 is the most expensive card from Glory of Team Rocket, and it has a solid shot of being the top card in Destined Rivals as well. Interestingly, this card is done by an artist named Iwamoto05, who only has 3 Pokemon TCG artworks under their belt. It will be exciting to see what else this artist comes up with after this huge success.
