Inferno X Prices & First Sales

Inferno X Early Prices

The Hobby Bin Staff |

With just three days to go before the Japanese release of Inferno X, card images are already making the rounds on social media. Early eBay sales are also trickling in, giving us the first snapshot of where certain cards might debut on the market.

With heavy-hitters like Mega Charizard X ex MUR and the Charizard X ex Special Art Rare leading the charge, it’s no wonder the Phantasmal Flames English set list has been stealing the spotlight. Now, all eyes turn to Inferno X as we track which cards are pulling the highest early premiums.

Here are the first market movers worth watching.

While this card has yet to record a single sale on eBay, one listing is currently sitting at around $1,100. It’s worth noting that early in a set’s release, some sellers will list cards they don’t actually have in hand, with the intent of canceling later if they can’t fulfill.

Because buyers tend to have little confidence in these types of listings, they rarely result in real sales — but they can still influence the market by anchoring other sellers’ prices and shaping the perceived value of the card.

This card was actually leaked nearly a month ago, and we were confident we were looking at the real deal at the time. Now that we have confirmation it is a genuine card, the market is already in motion. This card has already seen 5 sales on eBay, all ranging from $600 to $750.

We do want to make an important disclaimer here – which is a market with only a few data points can be easily manipulated through shill bidding or fake transactions. In this case, there are 3 cards currently listed in the $700-$900 range, suggesting that other sellers are valuing it similarly.

Among the six Special Art Rares that leaked, Oricorio ex SAR #111 stands out as one that likely won’t appear in Phantasmal Flames. Instead, it’s expected to be slotted into the upcoming Mega Charizard UPC—though that hasn’t been fully confirmed.

Earlier today, a copy sold for just under $400, a price point that almost certainly overshoots where this card will settle post-release. Even so, several additional eBay listings are currently sitting in the $400–$600 range, signaling that sellers are aiming to capitalize on inflated early-market hype.

The Full Art Mega Charizard X ex has already started making its mark on the early market. The first copy sold for about $40, followed by a second sale that doubled up to $80, showing how quickly demand for Charizard cards can push prices upward.

At the moment, a couple of listings are available in the $85 range. For an early market price on a Charizard card, that figure is relatively reasonable, though it will be interesting to see how it changes once more copies begin to circulate.

Other Big Hitters – Special Art Rares and Secret Rares

We have almost no market values to go on for the following cards, but we do fully expect to see them hit premiums once they do go up for sale.

Art Rares Sales Data

Thanks to their higher pull rates, Art Rares tend to hit the market earlier than most other card types. Sellers are quick to list them even before the official release, making these some of the first cards collectors can reliably preorder.

Much of this comes from high-volume sellers who open hundreds—sometimes thousands—of boxes in advance. With such a large supply on hand, they’re able to flood the market early and set the initial pricing trend for these cards.

Most of the following cards fall into the $10-$20 price range.
