Prismatic Evolutions Buying Guide

Prismatic Evolutions has been announced as the next specialty Pokemon TCG set, scheduled to be released in January of 2025. Featuring the Eeveelutions, legendary Pokemon, and masterball reverse holos, this set promises to be one of the best sets we've had in years. There are a number of products that will be available to preorder, along with several still to be announced. What do we know so far? Let's take a look!

 

Booster Packs

The Prismatic Evolutions Booster Packs has an expected MSRP of $4.49.

Since Prismatic Evolutions is a specialty set, this means that booster boxes will not be available to purchase. Instead, a number of special sealed products will be released. Loose booster packs are likely to be priced higher on the secondary market, just like we have seen with sets like Celebrations and Pokemon-151. Release date January 17, 2025.

Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box

The Prismatic Evolutions Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box has an expected MSRP of $59.99.

The Prismatic Evolutions Pokemon Center ETB recently had a wave of preorders on Pokemon Center, and they sold out almost immediately, despite being 2 months away from release date. This Pokemon Center Exclusive ETB comes with 2 bonus packs over the standard ETB, as well as an additional Eevee promo with a Pokemon Center stamp. Notably, Pokemon Center stamped promos tend to perform extremely well on the secondary market, such as the Snorlax 151 PC Promo and the Noctowl Stellar Crown PC Promo. Release date January 17, 2025.

  

Elite Trainer Box

The Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box has an expected MSRP of $49.99.

If you can't get ahold of the Prismatic Evolutions Pokemon Center Exclusive ETB, the standard Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box still offers great value. Prismatic Evolutions products will be in high-demand, and the added benefit of the 65 card sleeves and the Eevee promo will make the standard ETB a worthwhile choice. Release date January 17, 2025.   

Binder Collection

The Prismatic Evolutions Binder Collection has an expected MSRP of $29.99.

If you are looking to sleeve up and display your cards in a binder, the Prismatic Evolutions Binder Collection is a great choice. With 9 pocket sleeves, it can hold up to 378 cards. This collection also includes 5 Prismatic Evolutions booster packs. The MSRP puts the pack price at around $6, which is really good considering the binder could likely account for half of the price. Release date January 17, 2025.

Poster Collection

The Prismatic Evolutions Poster Collection has an expected MSRP of $14.99.

If you are looking for a more affordable option, take a look at the Prismatic Evolutions Poster Collection. For around $15, you get 3 booster packs, 3 Eeveelution promo cards, and a large 2-sided poster. This is fantastic value at MSRP with a pack price around $5. While the promos aren't full art or etched, they are fan-favorites from Gen-1 that would look good in any collection. The poster features all of the Eeveelutions together. Release date January 17, 2025.

Tech Sticker Collection

The Prismatic Evolutions Tech Sticker Collection comes with 3 booster packs, a promo card, and a sticker sheet containing Eeveelutions. These tech sticker sheets are intended for use on tech devices such as laptops or tablets. This is another product with a $5 pack price, which isn't bad value at all for MSRP. Release date January 17, 2025. 

Mini Tins

The Prismatic Evolutions Mini Tins has an expected MSRP of $9.99.

The collector community is very excited about the mini tins for Prismatic Evolutions because of their stunning artwork. Each mini-tin comes with 2 booster packs, an art card, and a coin. Mini tins are typically a very affordable option without sacrificing pack opening value. Note that the mini-tins have a later release date compared to the products earlier on this list. Release date February 7, 2025.

Surprise Box

The Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box has an expected MSRP of $22.99.

The Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box is exactly what it sounds like - In addition to your 4 booster packs and storage box, you get a random Eeveelutions etched promo card with the set logo stamp. With the hype surrounding virtually any modern Umbreon card in existence, and only 1 in 9 odds of pulling him, we expect this promo card to be fairly expensive depending on the number of these boxes produced. For only $22.99, this mystery-style box may be a very hot product this season. Release date February 7, 2025.

Booster Bundle

The Prismatic Evolutions Booster Bundle has an expected MSRP of $26.94.

Because booster boxes are not available for specialty sets, the Prismatic Evolutions booster bundle is the next best option. Featuring 6 booster packs, the booster bundle does not include any additional dice, sleeves, promos, or any of the other accessories found in these other products. This is the kind of product you buy for someone who just wants to rip packs. At a MSRP of $26.94, you are getting your packs for about $4.50. 6 of these and you basically have yourself a booster box! Release date March 7, 2025.

Accessory Pouch Special Collection

The Prismatic Evolutions Accessory Pouch Special Collection MSRP is currently unknown.

The Prismatic Evolutions Accessory Pouch Special Collection is a unique product, one that we haven't really seen the Pokemon Company produce before. It comes with 5 booster packs and a Eevee accessory pouch. Perhaps the pouch can be used to carry TCG accessories like dice and damage counters? MSRP is unknown on this product currently as it is still a long ways out. Release date April 25, 2025.

Super-Premium Collection

The Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection MSRP is currently unknown.

There is pretty much nothing to go on currently with the Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection, though we can say that the previous Charizard ex Super-Premium Collection has been a big hit. Since this set is focused around Eeveelutions, this could absolutely be a product to look for. Release date May 16, 2025.

Premium Figure Collection

The Prismatic Evolutions Premium Figure Collection MSRP is currently unknown.

The last product we currently know about for the Prismatic Evolutions set is the Premium Figure Collection. Once again, there is not a lot of information available at the moment, but products like the Pikachu VMAX Premium Figure Collection for Celebrations have stood out as great buying options. With how popular Prismatic Evolutions is sure to be, this will be another great option to have on your radar. Release date September 26, 2025.

Final Thoughts

It honestly cannot be overstated how well Prismatic Evolutions is going to do at release. The last time we've had a set with so much hype from the Pokemon community was Evolving Skies. Like Evolving Skies, Prismatic Evolutions is also focused on the Eeveelutions. Additionally, it will have a chance at master ball reverse holos (the first time ever seen in English), and more than 30 Special Illustration Rares. Prismatic Evolutions will be one for the books, so be sure to keep an eye on this buying guide as we move into the new set.
