Set Overview

Base Set Unlimited is the mass-release printing of the original Pokémon TCG Base Set (102 cards) from the WotC era, featuring iconic starters like Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur and the classic “no set symbol” look.

Compared with 1st Edition/Shadowless, Unlimited cards lack the 1st Edition stamp and typically have the drop shadow on the artwork frame, making it the most common (and most widely opened) Base Set variant.
