We’re constantly updating our Surging Sparks card list as we gather new information about the equivalent Japanese sets. Plus, we've put together a handy Surging Sparks buying guide that outlines the various purchasing options for Surging Sparks, so you’ll know exactly where to find what you need. In this release guide, we will go over everything you need to know about the upcoming Surging Sparks release!

Surging Sparks Set Overview

Surging Sparks is the upcoming eighth set of the Scarlet & Violet Series, with an English release date of November 8, 2024. Featuring cards from the Japanese sets Paradise Dragona and Super Electric Breaker (Also sometimes referred to as Supercharged Breaker), Surging Sparks is expected to be a very popular set at release.

Because the Surging Sparks set is a main expansion, it will feature the standard booster box, elite trainer box, booster bundle, and blister packs we are used to getting. In addition, however, there will be a special box released on November 15th called the Grand Adventure Collection. This special box will include a total of 4 booster packs (note only 2 are Surging Sparks), 2 bonus regular promos, and a bonus jumbo promo, the Terapagos & Friends card.

Surging Sparks Top Cards

Since Surging Sparks is composed of two Japanese sets, we can do some speculating as to which cards are most likely to be the biggest pulls in English. Importantly, however, it should be noted that Super Electric Breaker has not been completely revealed yet. The release date for Super Electric Breaker is October 18, so we should be getting the rest of the set card list any day now.

For Paradise Dragona, the set has already released and we know the card prices on the secondary market. Here are the top 5 most expensive cards from Paradise Dragona, which are likely to be included in the Pokemon Surging Sparks English set:

As for Super Electric Breaker, although we do not have any reference for card prices, the Pokemon Company has revealed a few cards that are sure to be near the top of the list of chase cards in Surging Sparks. For most people, the Pikachu SAR seems to be the top chase. Featuring Pikachu in Tera form, the Pikachu SAR #132 is illustrated by Gidora, an artist who started illustrating for Pokemon around the time of Brilliant Stars.

In addition to the Pikachu SAR, we will also be getting the Full Art Pikachu Secret Rare #127, as well as a recently revealed Gold Secret Rare Pikachu. Here are the Pikachu cards that will be found in Surging Sparks:
